Robert Lorenz (born 1983) is a political scientist and editor. His doctoral dissertation, “Protest der Physiker. Die ‚Göttinger Erklärung‘ von 1957,” received the Volkswagen Foundation’s Opus Primum award in 2011 for the year’s best publication by an early-career scholar. His publications include several books on political science, among them “Gewerkschaftsdämmerung. Geschichte und Perspektiven deutscher Gewerkschaften” (2013). In 2020, Lorenz was nominated for the Siegfried Kracauer Prize in the Best Film Criticism category.
