Robert Burdy

Robert Burdy (born 1964) is a German journalist and author. As an ARD correspondent, he reported from the United States, the Middle East, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan for programs including Tagesschau, Tagesthemen and Weltspiegel. From 2001 to 2022, he presented the news program MDR Aktuell. He also worked as a speechwriter, rhetoric and media trainer, and coach for executives in politics and business. His publications include Wir informieren uns zu Tode (2022, co-written with Gerald Hüther) and Wir müssen reden – aber richtig (2024).
