Richard Laymon

Richard Laymon was born in Chicago in 1947 and studied English literature in California. Before devoting himself entirely to writing, he worked as a teacher, librarian, and magazine editor. He wrote primarily suspense and horror fiction. Laymon died in 2001 and is regarded, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom, as a cult author of the horror genre.
