Reiner Keller

Reiner Keller is a sociologist and holds a doctorate in philosophy. He studied sociology at the universities of Saarbrücken, Bamberg and Rennes. In 1996, he earned his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich with a study on the social construction of value; in 2004, he completed his habilitation at the University of Augsburg with a foundational work on the sociology of knowledge and discourse analysis. From 2007 to 2011, he was Professor of General Sociology at the University of Koblenz-Landau. In 2011, he took up a chair in sociology at the University of Augsburg. His research has focused on discourse research, the sociology of knowledge and culture, environmental and risk sociology, and French sociology.
