Quentin Bell

Quentin Bell (1910–1996) was a British painter, sculptor, ceramicist, and professor of art and art history. As a writer, he produced numerous works on art history and became interested early on in the history of the Bloomsbury Group. He was particularly known for his major biography of Virginia Woolf, the sister of his mother, Vanessa Bell. Bell was also committed to preserving Charleston Farmhouse and its original atmosphere until his death.
