Plinius

Pliny the Elder (23/24–79 CE) was an ancient writer. His principal work is the 37-book Natural History (*Naturalis historia*), in which he compiled the knowledge of his time about the natural world. Its subjects include geography, biology, zoology, botany, and pharmacology.
