Piet Oudolf

Piet Oudolf is a Dutch garden and landscape designer. He developed innovative planting concepts in which grasses and perennials played a central role in structured, naturalistic combinations. His style is associated with the “prairie garden” and “New Naturalism” movements and influenced a generation of garden designers. Together with his wife, Oudolf ran a perennial nursery near Hummelo in the Netherlands.
