Philip Waechter, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1968, studied communication design with a focus on illustration at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences. In 1995, he published his first picture book, which dealt with football. He worked as a freelance graphic artist, illustrator and author for various publishing houses. In 1999, he co-founded the LABOR studio community in Frankfurt am Main with other illustrators. His notable works include “Rosi in der Geisterbahn,” “Sohntage,” “Toni – Und alles nur wegen Renato Flash,” “Ein Tag mit Freunden” and “Weltreise mit Freunden.” He also created several books in collaboration with the LABOR studio community.
