Petra Reski, born in 1958 in Unna, is a German journalist and author. After studying, she attended the Henri-Nannen School of Journalism and worked as an editor at Stern. From 1989 onward, she published reports and books about Italy, particularly on the phenomenon of the Mafia, as well as novels. Her notable works include Mafia. Von Paten, Pizzerien und falschen Priestern (2008) and Als ich einmal in den Canal Grande fiel (2020). Her journalism has received several awards, including the Emma Journalistinnenpreis in 2010 and the Ricarda Huch Prize in 2021.
