Peter Ames Carlin

Peter Ames Carlin was born in Syracuse, New York, and grew up in Seattle. He worked as a journalist for publications including People, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times, and served for a time as a chief reporter for People. He also became known for biographies of musicians such as Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. His biography of Bruce Springsteen, titled Bruce, became a worldwide bestseller.
