Peschawa Fatah was born in 1983 in the Kurdish part of Iraq. After primary school in Sulaymaniyah, he attended secondary school and a commercial school in Lucerne, Switzerland. From 2007 onward, he worked as an interpreter and translator of German, English, French, and Kurdish. He translated literary and philosophical works, essays, and interviews into Kurdish (Sorani), including texts by Franz Kafka, Bernhard Schlink, Pascal Mercier, Sherko Fatah, and J. M. G. Le Clézio.
