Patricia Holland Moritz was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt, now Chemnitz, Germany. She worked first as a bookseller in Leipzig and as a freight forwarding clerk in Paris. After studying North American studies in Berlin, she worked as a tour promoter and band booker before turning to writing. She published short stories and crime stories in anthologies, as well as the novels »Zweisiedler« and »Kaßbergen« (2021). She received a Berlin Senate writing grant for »Zweisiedler«. She also co-wrote the autobiography of Leipzig pastor Christian Führer, »Und wir sind dabei gewesen« (2009). In 2014, she launched the Berlin crime series featuring detective Rebekka Schomberg.
