Patricia Evangelista

Patricia Evangelista is a Filipino journalist and author. As an investigative and trauma journalist, she reported for the news magazine Rappler on natural disasters, armed conflicts, human rights, and President Rodrigo Duterte’s so-called “war on drugs.” Her work has received, among other distinctions, the Kate Webb Prize for outstanding journalism under dangerous conditions, the Helen Bernstein Book Award for Excellence in Journalism, and the Whiting Creative Nonfiction Grant. One of her books was named “Book of the Year” in nonfiction by TIME magazine.
