Orlando Figes

Orlando Figes, born in London in 1959, is a British historian. He was a professor of history at Birkbeck College in London. His internationally acclaimed works on Russian history include “A People’s Tragedy” and “Hundert Jahre Revolution. Russland und das 20. Jahrhundert.” He received the Wolfson History Prize in 1997 for “A People’s Tragedy.” His books have been translated into more than 30 languages.
