Olivier Bourdeaut

Olivier Bourdeaut was born in Nantes in 1980. Before becoming a writer, he worked as a fleur de sel harvest assistant, a caretaker for a publishing house and a real-estate agent. After losing his last job, he withdrew to Spain, where he wrote the novel *Warten auf Bojangles* in just seven weeks. Published by a small Bordeaux press, the book became a bestseller, received several major literary awards and was sold in more than 30 countries.
