Oliver Jeffers

Oliver Jeffers (born 1977) grew up in Belfast and studied art and design at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. He worked as an artist, illustrator, designer and painter; his books have been published worldwide and translated into more than 50 languages. His award-winning picture books include *Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth*, which he wrote for his son and which reached number one on the New York Times bestseller list. Among the awards attributed to him are the New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Books Award, the Bologna Ragazzi Award, the Nestlé Book Prize and the New York Emmy Award for “Best Graphics.” His work has also been exhibited internationally.
