Oded Galor

Oded Galor (born 1953) is an Israeli economist. He was a professor at Brown University in the United States and conducted research focused particularly on economic growth. He is known as the creator of Unified Growth Theory. Galor served as editor of the Journal of Economic Growth and the Journal of Population Economics, as well as co-editor of other academic journals. His distinctions include honorary doctorates from the University of Poznań and the Université Catholique de Louvain, and election as a member of Academia Europaea.
