Nussaibah Younis

Nussaibah Younis (born 1986 in Manchester) is a peace researcher with a doctorate in international affairs. She advised the Iraqi government on deradicalization programs for women who had belonged to the so-called Islamic State and led a task force on Iraq’s future in Washington, D.C. Her debut novel, “fundamentalös,” was shortlisted for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction. Younis has Iraqi-Pakistani parents.
