Norbert Trummer

Norbert Trummer, born in 1962 in Leibnitz, Styria, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He held study fellowships in Kraków, Budapest, Český Krumlov and Rome. His awards include the Georg Eisler Prize and the Austrian State Scholarship for Fine Art. His work was shown in numerous exhibitions in Austria and abroad, including at the Leopold Museum in Vienna, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg and the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig. His book projects include “Krumlovsommer” (2004), “Romalido” (2009) and “Salzburg rundum” (2016). He also published books in collaboration with Bodo Hell and Franzobel. Trummer played accordion, ukulele and harmonium, and contributed to CD releases by the bands Scheffenbichler and a parrot singing.
