Nils Güttler (born 1980) studied modern and contemporary history as well as modern German literature in Berlin and Uppsala. In 2013, his doctoral dissertation on mapping practices in nineteenth-century plant geography received the German Society for the History of Medicine’s promotional award. From 2014 onward, Güttler worked as an assistant at the Chair of Science and Technology Studies at ETH Zurich.
