Niels Penke (Dr. phil.) is a Germanist and Scandinavianist. He has taught and conducted research at the University of Göttingen and the University of Siegen, where he worked as a research associate in the Department of German Studies. His research interests include horror and the fantastic, literature of classical modernism, and German-Scandinavian cultural relations. He has also published books and essays on literature, film, and popular culture.
