Nicole Seifert

Nicole Seifert (born 1972) trained as a bookseller and earned a doctorate in literary studies. After working in the editorial departments of several publishing houses, she worked as a freelance author and translator from 2010 onward. She translated works by, among others, Sarah Moss, Torrey Peters, Shirley Jackson, Julia Strachey, and Phil Rickman. In 2019, her literary blog nachtundtag.blog was named the best book blog by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. Her nonfiction book *FRAUEN LITERATUR: Abgewertet, vergessen, wiederentdeckt* was published in 2021, followed in 2024 by *Einige Herren sagten etwas dazu. Die Autorinnen der Gruppe 47*. She also contributed to the editorial work on the *rororo Entdeckungen* series, which brings forgotten women writers back into print.
