Nicholas Boyle

Nicholas Boyle (born 1946) is a German literary and cultural scholar. He held the Schröder Professorship of German at the University of Cambridge and was a member of the British Academy. In 1994–95, he was a Fellow of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. His distinctions include the Goethe Medal awarded by the Goethe-Institut in 2000 and the Friedrich Gundolf Prize of the German Academy for Language and Literature in 2009.
