Nana Spier

Nana Spier, born in Berlin in 1971, worked as an actress and became best known as a dubbing and audiobook narrator. She provided the German voices of, among others, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Drew Barrymore and Claire Danes; she dubbed Gellar in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Danes in Homeland. In the Pixar film Inside Out, she voiced the character Joy. Spier also appeared in theatre and television productions and narrated numerous audiobooks and audio dramas. Her work received, among other honors, the Hörspiel-Award in 2005 and the Ohrkanus in 2010.
