Nahed Samour

Nahed Samour, Dr., studied law and Islamic studies at universities in Bonn, Birzeit/Ramallah, London (SOAS), Berlin (HU), Harvard, and Damascus. She was a doctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History in Frankfurt am Main and held a research position at the Eric Castrén Institute of International Law and Human Rights at the University of Helsinki. She also served at the Berlin Court of Appeals, was an Early Career Fellow at the Lichtenberg-Kolleg of the University of Göttingen, and taught at Harvard Law School’s Institute for Global Law and Policy from 2014 to 2018. Her scholarly work focused on the relationship between religion, racialization, gender, and law.
