Nadine Gordimer

Nadine Gordimer (1923–2014) was a South African writer. Born in Springs, Transvaal, she portrayed the lives of Black and white people in South Africa in her novels and short stories. Her work critically examined apartheid, racism, and their consequences. In 1991, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. She died in Johannesburg.
