Nadia Budde

Nadia Budde (born 1967 in Berlin) is a German author and illustrator of picture books and children’s books. Before studying graphic design at the Berlin Weißensee School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London, she worked in advertising. Her debut, “Eins zwei drei Tier,” received the German Youth Literature Prize and the Oldenburg Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize. “Trauriger Tiger toastet Tomaten” won the Troisdorf Picture Book Prize, and her comic biography “Such dir was aus, aber beeil dich” also received the German Youth Literature Prize. Budde has also worked as a translator and was nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2017.
