N. T. Wright

N. T. Wright, whose full name is Nicholas Thomas Wright, was born in 1948. He studied history and theology at Oxford and received his doctorate there in 1981 with a thesis on Pauline theology and the Epistle to the Romans. From 2003 to August 2010, he was the Anglican Bishop of Durham, England. In September 2010, he took up a research professorship in New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Wright married in 1971 and is the father of four children.
