Mo Asumang

Mo Asumang was born in Kassel in 1963 to a German mother and a Ghanaian father. In 1996, she became Germany’s first Afro-German television presenter, hosting the program »Liebe Sünde«. She subsequently worked as a presenter, filmmaker, lecturer, and actress. Her documentaries »Roots Germania« and »Die Arier« were nominated for the Grimme Award. A death threat from a neo-Nazi band prompted her to engage directly with racism in her filmmaking.
