Mirinae Lee was born and raised in South Korea and studied English literature in the United States. Her debut novel, “The Eight Lives of Mrs Mook” (“Die acht Leben der Frau Mook”), was longlisted for the 2024 Women’s Prize for Fiction and received the William Saroyan International Prize for Writing. The novel has been translated into more than ten languages.
