Michael Vollmer, Dr. phil., was born in 1981 in Lichtenstein, Saxony. He studied political science, English literature and cultural studies, and social and economic geography at Chemnitz University of Technology. From 2008 to 2013, he worked there as a research associate at the Chair of Political Theory and the History of Ideas. His academic focus includes the history of ideas in the 19th and 20th centuries.
