Michael Kamp

Michael Kamp studied history and political science at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and University College London from 1991 to 1996. During this period, he worked at the university archive and at LMU’s Institute for the History of Science. In 2002, he completed his doctorate with a study of the political role of Munich museums in the nineteenth century. His publications include corporate histories of Pfanni and the Bundesdruckerei, biographies of Dieter Spethmann and Else Kröner, and a history of Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich. His research focuses on institutional, museum, aristocratic, and economic history in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
