Michael Jakob

Michael Jakob holds a doctorate in environmental economics from Technische Universität Berlin. He also earned degrees in physics, economics and international relations from universities in Munich, St. Gallen and Geneva. His research has focused on the design of climate policy measures, the political economy of climate policy, and the links between environmental policy and human well-being. Jakob has advised governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations, and contributed as an author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fifth Assessment Report.
