Michael Gunter

Michael Günter holds a doctorate in medicine and was a professor of child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. He studied medicine, art history, and empirical cultural studies in Tübingen and Vienna. He was a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy as well as in psychosomatic medicine, and worked as a psychoanalyst for children, adolescents, and adults and as a training analyst (DPV/IPA). He served as medical director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Stuttgart Hospital and headed the University of Tübingen’s curriculum in psychodynamic psychotherapy. He also served as co-editor of the journal Kinderanalyse.
