Michael Dreyer is a German political scientist and professor of political theory and intellectual history at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. His research focuses on the intellectual history of the 19th and 20th centuries in Germany and the United States, constitutional order, political theory, the international impact of the Weimar Republic, and the political system of the United States. His publications include the biography “Hugo Preuß (1860–1925). Biographie eines Demokraten” (2018).
