Michael Crummey, born in 1965 in Buchans, Newfoundland, is a Canadian writer. He studied English at Memorial University in St. John’s and Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He began writing poetry during his studies. After travelling and working in several countries, he settled in St. John’s as a writer. His work includes poetry and short-story collections, novels, and a nonfiction book about Newfoundland. His novel “Sweetland” was published in German by Mitteldeutscher Verlag in 2020.
