Michael Bischoff

Michael Bischoff, born in 1949, studied mathematics and sociology and worked as an academic editor at Suhrkamp Verlag. From 1977 onward, he translated philosophical, cultural-historical, and social-science literature from French and English, including works by Émile Durkheim, Michel Foucault, Isaiah Berlin, and Richard Sennett.
