Mely Kiyak

Mely Kiyak published books, essays, columns, and theater texts. Her essays and radio features appeared, among other places, in Die Zeit, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, die taz, and on Deutschlandradio Kultur. From 2008, she published political columns in the Frankfurter Rundschau and the Berliner Zeitung. Her books include “Briefe an die Nation und andere Ungereimtheiten,” “Frausein” (2020), “Werden sie uns mit FlixBus deportieren?” (2022), “Herr Kiyak dachte, jetzt fängt der schöne Teil des Lebens an” (2024), “Dieser Garten” (2024), and “Gute Momente” (2025). She received the Theodor Wolff Prize in 2011 and the Kurt Tucholsky Prize.
