Meltem Kulacatan

Meltem Kulaçatan (born 1976) studied political science and Islamic religious education at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and holds a doctorate. She worked as a research associate and project director in the Department of Education at Goethe University Frankfurt. In the 2016/17 winter semester, she was a visiting professor at the University of Zurich’s Department of Religious Studies. Her research has focused on Islam, migration, gender and education, as well as media analysis and contemporary Turkey. In addition to her academic work, she has also appeared as a literary author.
