Mele Brink

Mele Brink was born in Bielefeld in 1968 and grew up in East Westphalia. She studied architecture at RWTH Aachen and also pursued sculpture there. In 1998, she became a self-employed illustrator and cartoonist. Her work has been published since 1996 and includes cartoons, comics, portrait caricatures, and illustrations for children’s and schoolbooks. One of her notable commissioned works is the character “Rucky Reiselustig,” created for Misereor’s children’s fasting campaign. In 2011, she co-founded Edition Pastorplatz with Bernd Held.
