Meike Haas

Meike Haas (born 1970) studied German literature, philosophy and book studies in Regensburg, Vienna and Munich. After training as a newspaper editor, she worked as a journalist for various newspapers. From 2003 onward, she worked as a freelance author and published numerous books for children and young readers, some of which were translated into several languages. Her writing career began after several years in journalism, when a first manuscript was accepted by publishers. An attempted career in horse riding, meanwhile, ended after only a few hours because of a particularly stubborn pony.
