Max Planck

Max Planck (1858–1947) was a German physicist who worked in theoretical physics and is regarded as a founder of quantum physics. He received the 1919 Nobel Prize in Physics for discovering the quantity later named Planck’s constant, or the quantum of action. He was born in Kiel and died in Göttingen.
