Matthias Wittekindt

Matthias Wittekindt, born in Bonn in 1958 and raised in Hamburg, studied architecture and the philosophy of religion in Berlin and London. He worked as an architect and theatre director and wrote plays, radio dramas and television documentaries. He has been a freelance author since 2000 and focused on crime novels from 2011 onward. His works include “Schneeschwestern,” “Marmormänner,” “Vor Gericht” and “Die Schülerin.” Wittekindt has received the German Crime Fiction Prize twice for his crime novels.
