Matthias Clausen

Matthias Clausen (born 1972) is a Protestant theologian. He studied theology in Wuppertal, Heidelberg, and London. From 2000 to 2004, he worked as a travelling secretary for Hochschul-SMD; he subsequently completed his vicariate in Essen and served as a pastor in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland. His other professional roles included research associate at the Institute for Research on Evangelism and Church Development and university evangelist. Clausen taught practical and systematic theology at Evangelische Hochschule Tabor in Marburg and held the Karl Heim Professorship for Evangelism and Apologetics. He also worked nationally as a speaker on behalf of the Institute for Faith and Science.
