Born in 1967, Martin C. Roos worked for decades as a self-employed science journalist. From 1996 onward, he published articles in outlets including Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Welt, Berliner Morgenpost, Merian and TOUR, as well as for the German Alpine Club and Bergverlag Rother. He received a 1999 fellowship for research in the United States and a 2019 fellowship as a travel reporter for research in all 16 German federal states. Roos created the #RadelnderReporter brand, combining travel experiences with science journalism.
