Martin Auer

Martin Auer, born in Vienna in 1951, is an Austrian writer. After beginning university studies, he worked as a dramaturg, actor and musician at Vienna’s Theater im Künstlerhaus, and later as a freelance musician and songwriter, journalist, and in advertising and public relations. From 1984 onward, he worked as a freelance writer, magician, entertainer, musician, actor and cabaret performer. He also wrote radio plays and screenplays and contributed to theatre and cabaret productions. In 1997, he was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
