Mark Arax

Mark Arax is an American journalist and author. He worked for the Los Angeles Times and published writing about California and the American West in The New York Times and California Sunday Magazine. The search for his father’s killers led to his first book, *In My Father’s Name*. His second book, *The King of California*, won the California Book Award. His reportage “A Kingdom from Dust” received second prize at the inaugural True Story Award in Bern in 2019.
