Marianne Schmidt

Marianne Schmidt was born in Waldshut-Tiengen in 1935. From 1958 to 1962, she studied interior architecture at the Werkkunst-Schule Wiesbaden. She subsequently worked as a self-employed interior architect for almost 20 years. Together with her husband, Hubert Schmidt, she founded a company specializing in architectural ceramics. She developed and designed ceramic heating systems and filed a patent for an electrically heated surface element. From 2005 onward, she took responsibility for managing and caring for Hubert Schmidt’s artistic works and estate.
