Mareike Herbstreit

Mareike Herbstreit studied art history, philosophy and sociology. From 2008 to 2013, she was a research associate at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig. As a fellow of the German Research Foundation’s graduate program “The Photographic Dispositif,” she received her doctorate in 2016 with a thesis on exhibited authenticity in the work of Chris Burden and Marina Abramović. From 2017 onward, she worked at the Project House for Teaching and Media Education at Technische Universität Braunschweig, focusing on open educational resources (OER), media education for students and curriculum development.
