Marcel Huwyler

Marcel Huwyler was born in 1968 in Merenschwand, Switzerland. After seven years as a primary-school teacher, he worked for almost 25 years as a journalist, writing magazine features about his home region and reports from around the world. As an author, he became known chiefly for his crime novels featuring Mrs Morgenstern. He also wrote *The Golden Pocketknife*, the first case featuring Eliza Roth-Schild. As a child, Huwyler wrote puppet plays and invented stories for his parents.
